Awakened at the St. Petersburg Youth Literary Forum on March 1, 2018 at  site "ARTMUZA". It brought together writers and poets, bloggers and journalists, scientists and artists, publishers and businessmen, who discussed topical issues of Russian and world literature, and also shared their experience.

The forum was opened by the chairman of the Committee on youth policy and interaction with public organizations Renata Abdulina. She emphasized that this forum appeared thanks to the initiative of a young Petersburg woman Anastasia, who won the all-Russian forum "Tavrida".

“Of course, in the city of great writers and poets, in the city of romantic bridges and cozy courtyards, in the most reading city of our country, a youth literary forum must be held. We have tried to prepare a rich, interesting program for you. Perhaps on this forum you will have new ideas. We will be happy to finalize them, support them, or maybe develop them into large-scale new projects. At the site called "ARTMUZA" I wish you inspiration and find your muse who will help you create for many years for the benefit of St. Petersburg, "said Renata Abdulina.

Experts from the literary community joined the discussion and spoke about the main trends in the development of world and Russian literature, attitudes towards young Russian writers abroad, the need to promote the Russian language and Russian literature among young people.

The St. Petersburg Youth Literary Forum presented 4 educational sections in one day: “I am a writer”, “I am a reader”, “I am an orator”, “I am a publisher” and 8 training platforms. The event was attended by 200 participants and 16 speakers from Moscow and St. Petersburg. The guests of the event were able to take part in educational master classes and lectures. The sections were focused on practical solutions to the main questions and problems that arise on the path of novice authors.

Thus, Vlad Malenko , poet and author of fables, founder and director of the Moscow Theater of Poets, artistic director of the Yesenin Center poetry laboratory, held a master class in acting. He talked about how theater and literature come into contact, showed the techniques of various theater schools that are useful for aspiring authors, and told how to stay in front of an audience so that viewers and listeners feel exactly the emotion that the author wanted to convey. He also talked about how to prepare a book for publication and organize work with an editor.

Dmitry Miropolsky , a Russian businessman, novelist and screenwriter, shared his own recommendations for creating an author's version of the plot of the work.

How to read and choose books correctly, said Olga Kosogor , head of the Department of Cultural Programs of the Central City Public Library named after V.V. Mayakovsky.

Sasha Filipenko , Belarusian prose writer, author of the novels "Red Cross", "Bullying", "Former Son" and "Intentions", laureate of the "Russian Prize" shared his story of success and becoming a professional writer.

Nadezhda Delaland and Maria Sukhobskaya talked about where to look for inspiration and how to properly maintain a personal blog .

Natalia Romanova and Anastasia Klyushina taught the participants about the peculiarities of poetry literacy and speed reading techniques .

Igor Malyshev, Alena Agricova and Liza Zorina gave lectures on how to work with illustrations and choose the right publishing house, how to become a successful speaker and a successful screenwriter.

Special attention of the educational sections was paid to youth projects in Russian culture and the experience of their implementation. Poetess and literary critic Stefania Danilova spoke about this.

Also at the forum, they talked about technological solutions in literature, web projects and mobile applications for readers and writers - Yulia Dobrovolskaya and representatives of the Acta Diurna publishing house shared their experience. Daniel Orlov, writer, publisher, member of the Writers' Union of St. Petersburg, president of the Russian Text Foundation, spoke about the apology of the modern novel, why, what and, most importantly, for whom it is worth writing books. The experts talked about novelties in books, what is really worth including in the school literature curriculum, how to become a successful writer in Russia, and how realistic it is to live only on the income from writing books.

Contemporary Russian poets and writers performed on the main stage of the forum. An art exhibition was held in the lobby of the ARTMUZA Museum of Contemporary Art, where pupils and students of educational institutions of St. Petersburg presented their illustrations for plays, novels and poems, including The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov, Children of Captain Grant by Jules Verne, Tell me, uncle ... "Mikhail Lermontov and others.

The St. Petersburg Youth Literary Forum served as an effective platform for fruitful interaction and live communication between students and young authors with experienced Russian writers and successful publishers.

The forum was organized by the Committee on Youth Policy and Interaction with Public Organizations.
