Maybe this is a beautiful and harmonious soundtrack to your life, so complex and simple at the same time? When you laughingly dance with the demons of your soul, fears, worries, losses ("I dance with my demons" - sings Chester Bennington in "Nobody Can Save Me") , to the "battle symphony" (single "Battle Symphony") . Only you are your own enemy and friend in this contradictory world: "I shout at myself. Because there is no one to fight with anymore. I did not lose, but I did not win either. I made a mistake, but on the way to the truth ..." Such complex contrasts - against the background of the calmness of the music, the voice. The severity is no longer, as it was in the previous albums of the group (wild "Hybrid Theory" in 2000, rebellious "Meteora" in 2003, some singles from "Minutes To Midnight" in 2007, explosive "The Hunting Party" 2014 -  approx. auth), and the emphasis is mainly on deep life texts.

Chester Bennington's vocals, soft, beautiful, as if enveloping the soul and taking it to a special world. There is no wild rebellion, screams that were before, only a conscious perception of reality, its joyful and dark sides. Everything seems balanced, like a warm stream of a river that slowly carries you along its waves. Where to? To something light. But is this path so easy and what awaits there, beyond the horizon?
Emotions do not splash, as it was before, but represent a harmonious smooth movement. Every thought, every breath has a meaning, there is nothing superfluous. It turns out such a leisurely, meaningful story about happiness and pain, about everything that fills your life.

"While we were" digging the tunnel "of this album, life did not stand still. Celebrations, mistakes, accidents, rehabilitation. Relationships began and ended, children were born and people died. We remembered all this while we were at the mercy of the world around us, but the only thing that we sometimes  controlled is our reaction. In a sense, it became the light at the end of our tunnel ... "- the musicians write.

Therefore, in "One More Light" one of the main themes is the theme of the road, the path of life along which we go, tired travelers, in search of a haven. Will we find it?
The group again experiments with sound, again uses the effect of surprise: the melodies are lively, even danceable, it seems that they are all on the same wavelength, but this is only at first glance: there is also the energy of the guitar (how smartly it sounds in "Sharp Edges" and "Talking to Myself " ), the bright voice of Mike Shinoda (vocals, rap, guitar) in " Invisible " and " Sorry For Now ",  even a slight recitative from Chester in the single "Heavy" (feat. Kiiara), and new playful  samples of Joe Hahn (Dj) that run through the entire album, complementing it, but sounding in unison.

The main song of the album "One More Light" sounds like the space single "Leave Out All The Rest"  and the sad trance song "The Little Things Give You Away" (disc "Minutes To Midnight" 2007). As if the same calmness and silence framed by a fragile guitar melody, but it cannot be confused with anything. Light light fills everything around and the world seems to wake up from a long sleep: the stars disappear, giving way to the sun's rays.

"Who will help if fire. Among the bright stars disappear? It flickers, twinkles, crazy. Who will help, because time passes. And the moment is our everything. We are carried faster, faster. Who will help if fire. Among the bright stars disappear?" I will kindle it with my soul ... "

The beginning of something new is coming and it is waiting for you. The music itself reveals the fragility and at the same time the strength of this world. In it you create your own melody of life. A symphony of ups, downs, different emotions that form a special world for you. You fight him and accept him. You rejoice and cry. Do you need something else?
