Enchanted by darkness

A nightingale sings in the silence of the night. He carries fragile beauty, like vocalist Aleah Stanbridge (passed away on April 18, 2016.  - approx. author) on the first album "Hour of the Nightingale" by the Swedish doom / gothic band Trees of Eternity . He seems to reveal the complex relationship between light and darkness in everyone's soul. Release date online -  November 11, 2016 Album release on CD, vinyl - November 25.

Album -
this little great journey in an enchanted world , where life and death go hand in hand. It is inhabited by shadows that beckon and frighten at the same time, trees weave bizarre patterns from their branches, and the wind picks off yellow leaves from them. Everything seems like a magical dream, but you won't wake up.

In the dark -
a girl in white clothes, this is Alia, either a ghost, or  angel  with black and white wing. She seems to hang above the ground, without moving, sings, tenderly, sadly, connecting morning and night. The latter, as an eternal friend of the vocalist, and one of the main characters of the album ("My requiem", "Eye of Night", "Black ocean", "The Passage", etc.). She invisibly observes everything, subjugating to herself. Voice  -  it is purity and fragility, but in the frame of heavy doom guitars, acoustics and symphonic instruments, it sounds loud and calm at the same time. Retains its mysterious silence, harmony of emotions. Sometimes whispering, the vocals seem to dissolve into the melody, but sounds as if over it, comes from the other world, but calls to life.
"Embrace the song of the nightingale in the midst of the shadows in the dark hour. Her voice reflects the shades of dawn now ..."

Atmospheric music is created: in it  -  sublime sadness and pain, which are told slowly, as if muffled. Together they form a black ocean, into which you dive deeply and do not see the bottom. Can you find it?  "The ocean of the deep endless night. The ocean from the soul calls the eternal ..."

The compositions are full-bodied, they go slowly, the words are chanted, as in the usual doom / gothic metal. But Trees of Eternity bring their individuality into it: particles of hope and light dilute depression. The music becomes emotionally rich and intense. Heavy songs are combined with lighter ones performed with one acoustic guitar: "Sinking ships", "Hour of The Nightingale" -
gentle plucking of strings and it leads to a beautiful, but tragic world of fragile glass. It is about to break.

"... Music really was everything to her (Aliya) and she created every word and record, while they were like shining diamonds in her soul, pure blinding light in the dark. When she picked up a guitar and began to sing, I always knew that she could not be from this time and place, not from this world. And she was not. Alia, thank you for leaving behind a healing voice and words that embrace us all " -  Juha Raivio, guitarist of the band.

In the silence of the night, the nightingale sings and his song will flow forever. Because after the night comes a new morning of your life. Feel how it gently embraces you with its warmth.
