Love to death or hatred that brings back to life? New clip "You Love me 'Сause I Hate You" from the album "Delirium" (2016) of the Italian gothic metal band Lacuna Coil reveals the terrible secrets of the relationship.
If the previous clips from the disc ( "The House of shame" , "Delirium" , "Blood, Tears, Dust " ) have a crazy atmosphere, movement, dark energy, this video seems more calm. But who said that it is no less dark? The setting itself carries with it something devilish and is a continuation of the video "Blood, Tears, Dust". Only "You Love Me 'Cause I Hate You" is more ambitious in terms of filming: there are beautiful panoramas, and camera departures, and parallel editing (Christina after the events and during).
The heroine Scabbia, with drops of blood on her face, quietly tells her story of pain:
"Sorry, I crossed the line. I can lose control. You are always in my thoughts. The soul is possessed by you. Love as the fetters of evil. "
For the first time, Christina appears in an interesting role of an investigator who, it seems, is looking for a maniac killer. Who knew that this madman would be her colleague (actor Andrew Harwood Mills). A small detective story with elements of horror, which are characteristic of the album "Delirium", a subtle touch of mysticism and, of course, madness (translated from English "Delirium" - delirium - approx. auth.). That there is one hero Andrea Ferro (growl, vocals of the group), who seems to have escaped from a psychiatric clinic. There is some kind of secret connection between him and Christina. What is it: love to frenzy or hatred with wild malice?
The heroine finds the corpse of a woman with a mysterious tattoo, but she herself almost becomes a victim of a maniac. Here she lies, chained to a bed in an abandoned house, on the verge of death. Is there anyone around and who will help her? Knife, screams, suffocation and ... blow. The enemy is dead and she is unexpectedly saved. But is this the end? Christina wanders into nowhere, and on her hand - that same tattoo.
The video seems strange, confusing and you try to unravel its tight ball, but nothing comes of it. What kind of relationship do the characters hide, what kind of skeletons do they have in their closet? You still remain unanswered.
But even so "You Love me 'Cause I Hate You" - This is a story about an obsessed love that blurs the boundaries between reality and fantasy, knocks the ground out from under our feet. There is nothing anymore - only madness, blood and pain until the very end. And that end is already near. Listen, maybe the darkness is now outside your door.
