INTEGRAL REALISM
SERGEY KOLESNIKOV (KS)
Fantasy and reality . Tenderness and strength. This and not only is combined in the works of the artist Sergei Kolesnikov. The opening of the exhibition of his paintings will take place at the MOST Art Gallery , Khimki, on June 1. The exposition will run until June 18.
The painting of Sergei Kolesnikov can be called “integral realism”. Why? Because it is mathematically verified, accurate. The artist creates a special formula of beauty, harmony, according to which he creates his images. They seem surreal , as if woven from our experiences, dreams, secrets, but at the same time they are real. Objects painted in a realistic manner are subtly combined with each other, creating beautiful images in a fantasy composition on canvas. Here is the beautiful Eve, pure and seductive at the same time, and the perfectly built Perseus with the head of Medusa the Gorgon, and the fragile Pygmalion. It can be seen that the author implements the traditions of Hellenistic art, symbolism and later surrealism. Symbolists laid basis for the emergence surrealism his vivid experiments, the desire to express himself with the help of symbols, allegories.
Moreover, if in surrealism the bet was made on emotions, the spontaneity of creativity and the power of the unconscious, then the author's integral realism of Sergei Kolesnikov is an image paradox, a kind of anti-surrealism (but its main elements are still preserved).
V it reflects the deep views of the artist himself, where tradition and modernity become one, create original codes. Their combination in the context of modern scientific and philosophical concepts brings the works of artist to reflection "Absolute truths" using both realistic and metaphorical images. It is impossible to solve them, and every time you will discover something new for yourself, peering even at the minor details in the paintings. Many of them are deliberately hidden by the artist in super small scale images, or appear in the outlines of the background shadow range, which is hidden from a cursory view. The ambiguous interpretation of the components of the picture draws you into research, into a dark endless labyrinth, where you, like a lost Theseus, groping along the thread of Ariadne in search of truth. Only can you find her?
The exposition includes both already known works and new canvases that have not yet been exhibited in Russia. The opening will be held by Grigory Ginzburg, art critic, academician of the European Academy of Natural Sciences. (Hanover, Germany).
Sergey Kolesnikov, successful artist, member of the International Association of Art (IAA) (German branch of IGBK, Berlin), member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, member of the Professional Union of Artists.
